::About::

Hi!
Since you're reading this, I suppose you'd like to know a bit about Doujin Box and/or the wundifulous people who run it. ^_^

Well, Doujin Box started out with a certain sempai and a certain Japanese person deciding that a certain other person should be horribly, horribly punished. . .

Okay, so that's a little bit off. The certain sempai recommended to the certain Japanese person that I knew a bit about doujinshi. Then Keigo started to ask me questions, and finally asked if I'd like to work for him and do the doujinshi side of things. I, obviously suffering from some sort of head injury, quickly agreed, and Doujin Box was born in March, 2001.

So. . . What do we do?

Doujin Box is a proxy bidder on Yahoo!Japan using the id of doujin_box. You give us an order, (and money, let's not forget that) and we bid on your behalf on Yahoo!Japan Auctions. When an auction is won, Keigo (wonderful person that he is), pays the seller for the item you're interested in by bank transfer (since Japanese do the 'bank' thing mostly), and the seller ships the item to Keigo. After you request your orders to be shipped to you (via the handy-dandy Shipping Requst Form, he ships them to you.

Sounds long and involved, doesn't it?

Generally the wait is around a month. 1-2 weeks for shipment within Japan, (hey, if you've dealt with E-bay or other on-line auctions, 1-2 weeks is pretty good!), then the shipment to the States, and then the shipment to you.

It takes at Least 17 days to get an order ready to ship internationally. That's only if the seller has shipped things out in a timely fashion. If you're receiving multiple items from different sellers, it will probably take even longer since most Yahoo!Japan sellers are not professional retailers.

How'bout that money thing?
